Kindergarten After-School in the PS 107 Garden
The PS 107 school garden, chickens, compost system, and nearby Prospect Park become a living classroom where children extend and enrich their Kindergarten learning through play, wonder, and direct experience with nature.
Green Magic Workshop builds on what children are already learning in Kindergarten through hands-on exploration, observation, storytelling, movement, sensory experiences, creativity and caring for the living world. Concepts introduced in the classroom come alive as children touch the soil, observe insects, tend the garden, care for the chickens, watch the seasons change, prepare simple foods from the harvest, and participate in a shared outdoor community.
Through regular time outdoors, children strengthen foundational skills in science, literacy, mathematics, social-emotional learning, and art while developing curiosity, confidence, stewardship, and a lasting connection to the natural world.

Magic Performance
Thursdays, 4:50–5:40
Grades 3–5
"The only thing I love more than performing for an amazed audience, is sharing the art of Magic" - Liam Malanaphy
This class focuses on cultivating performances grounded in the sense of wonder felt when seeing an amazing trick for the first time, and helps students turn that feeling into something they can share with others. Rather than teaching specific tricks, the class teaches performance itself, students will regularly perform for one another, which can feel uncomfortable at first, even for technically skilled kids. The instructor never pushes a hesitant student, but encourages gradual participation so every child experiences the joy of performing and leaves feeling confident in their skills.
